24mm in the last 24hrs. The last times we got this much in one day was 19mm on November 21st and 34mm on January 30th 2018. Advertisements
Last week we had a sprinkler system fitted to the house and surrounding sheds. It is run by the fire pump, out of the house tank and douses the house and outbuildings with water. We did a test run today and, for a moment, I could pretend it was raining.
This fire is about 10km north of us and with the cool change will head further away. I feel so sorry for any residents in its path and I know that one day it’ll be our turn.
We have the hoses out, the fire tank filled and are now watching and waiting. With the wind as it is we shouldn’t be in trouble but ….??
Peggy is doing a fantastic job raising her twins and they have grown so much since the last photo’s.
